Time To Go
Yeah, it looks like it's about over for the US. Time to leave. Cartwheels and handstands have gotten an 11-year-old girl temporarily bounced out of her Los Angeles-area school. I swear to God, if I ever have kids, they will not wear bicycle helmets. Posted by Ryan Olson at November 12, 2004 09:07 AMComments
Nah, won't be bike helments. By then they'll be wearing standard issue (one size fits all, of course) Department of Children's Constant Safety and Conformity cranial protection units. Posted by: fad on November 12, 2004 04:11 PMhey man, I agree with you... but where are you going to go? It's worse in the rest of the 1st world, and plus that, if you do happen to injure yourself in a playground accident you'll have to wait 6 months for their socialist medical service to get around to splinting your broken arm.... But again, I'm with you. Screw the health Nazis. If I weren't so deathly allergic to cigarette smoke, I'd keep a pack on my tv table just so I could fire one up every time one of those stupid "truth" anti-smoking PSAs comes on. [now if only they'd get around to the dangers of alcohol consumption, so that I could rationalize my near-constant boozing as an act of civil disobedience...] Posted by: severian on November 12, 2004 04:42 PMIf you have kids? After all that Ramen and those Mexican no-brand candies in college, I think it's safe to assume you're sterile. Posted by: Gurney_Halleck on November 17, 2004 07:43 PMPost a comment
